transponder password

I try to use the TANGO BMW remoteless to program new PCF7936 transponder and it can not program.

It shows "INVALID PASSWORD, TRANSPONDER IS NOT BLANK".

Please tell me what is wrong or how to retrieve the password.

Наверно ключ б.у. ...а не новый как вы пишете. Потому и выдаёт ошибку. Потому что транспондер уже записан!
 
Hello All
To be able to program key for BMW ( remoteless) you must use Virgin PCF7936 or Virgin key my friend.
if you have software Advanced option for unlocking of used transponders , in this case you can program used key with PCF7943 or PCF7944, this option operate under the KEY MAKER REMOTE.
GOOD LUCK FOR ALL ;)
 
2 x-gate: download the last version 1.40.5. This version can display error in more details. If it displays "Transponder locked" it means a transponder is not plain, the "Cannot read" means the transponder is dead etc... Try again to make a key and report please here.

The Transponder i have is a new transponder and not used.

The error message is : Invalid password or Transponder is
not blank.

Now, i have a question

1, What MODE is BMW remoteless key programmed with Tango
PASSWORD or CRYPTO MODE?

During programming there is no option to choose
password or crypto mode or the device can determine
the transponder mode automatically.

Hello x-gate
you must to switch it in (Crypto) mode. You can use your Tango Programmer , This is done by replacing 0x06 with 0x0E
in the first byte of the TMCF page .
If this value is already 0x0E then the transponder is already in crypto mode. :idea:

Tango expects that transponder is in password mode and has default password.
What sw version do you use?
