I coma across many old Mercedes which are control
by the remote IR only, it does not carry transponder
with it.There is a REd & Green led bliknking on the rear
mirror.
Anyway to make this type of car start ?

for these models that you are talking about are from model 1995 till 1996 work by IR when car is locked no start ,after the model 1997 come with transponder .

if you send me file for the old model can help u ,post your file here .

and the IR is only for central lock ,
