Wow, that is a nice update for Toyota.

But for which model is this ID Code and ESL reset function? Newer cars? Older? or both?

Newer.
For older cars there is no need to go all this, given that the emulators exist, hence no need to change smart ecu.

The solution is car agnostic, applies to all 2013+, including 2021 (there are some models from Q2 2021 for which at present moment there is no information what system they use).
