hi all,

have a query regarding slk-08

i have a 2023 toyota yaris with AKL, read immo data fine using direct can connection, its the first time i'm using slk-08 i'm used to the older system ie emulate to get the car going and then worry about the key after

i noticed on this model it didn't give me option to emulate, its asking i put a new key in tango coil with slk-08 also connected,

is it not possible to create a emulator/dummy key for temp use on these models?
 
No, the procedure is Learn Key, not Write Emulator, so it requires a key, which is written to the vehicle during the procedure.
 
ah ok so virgin/unused key to be programmed all in once at the same time ? is this common for most newer stuff on slk-08 or certain models only?

also is it possible to reset a used key for these type of keys using the normal procedure from 'unlocker'

It doesn't matter if the key is new or used, as long as it is the correct type for the vehicle the function will automatically write all the necessary data in it. No need to reset it before that.
This is particularly for DST & Hitag AA, BA & B9 keys.
For earlier keys 94,D4, 98, A8, 88, A9 & 39 the unlocker has to be used first, as their key learn is standard procedure.
